their ID card is brought from home. To avoid this, parents should
ensure their child carries the ID card daily.
(iii) Student Wallet with ID Card
From Class I onwards, parents can now upload money to their child’s
wallet on the school portal. This amount can be used with the school ID
card for various payments, ie: canteen snacks, photocopying in the
learning centre.
i) Parent ID Card
Parents are also issued a Photo Identity Card for school entry. If parents
do not bring this card, they must follow the visitor management
system to obtain a Visitor’s Card. If a parent loses their ID card, they
must follow the same procedure as for lost student ID cards.
4. PARENTS AS PARTNERS
a) Strengthening Student Learning
In every child's educational journey, the collaboration between
parents and school serves as a cornerstone for success. At NMAJS, this
partnership extends far beyond the classroom walls, encompassing a
diverse array of activities and engagements that enrich the overall
learning experience. Parents join forces with faculty to create an
environment conducive to holistic student development.
The school looks forward to working with parents in this partnership
and in realising our common aim of providing a holistic education for
your child. To this end parents are invited to scheduled meetings
throughout the year to discuss their children’s learning.
NB: We follow an open-door policy and encourage parents to meet
with teachers as needed, not only during Parent-Teacher Meetings.
Parent Teacher Meetings: Teachers and parents meet to discuss
student progress, needs, and next steps. It provides both parties with
opportunities to gather background information, seek clarification
and address concerns that impact learning.
