and tutors to implement the Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
curriculum across all sections.
A referral is made in collaboration with the educators, the Student
Care team and parents. At NMAJS, the parent consent form is an
essential document. All student care services are provided with parent
consent and agreement.
The school seeks special arrangements and authorization from
relevant examination boards, so that examination conditions do not
put students with diagnosed learning difficulties at a disadvantage.
Board-approved evaluation concessions are made available to
students where appropriate. Every effort is made to ensure that they
have full access to the curriculum and are integrated into all aspects of
school life.
b) Medical Centre
The school’s medical centre is manned by qualified staff comprising a
School Medical Officer who is a doctor, who visits regularly, and nurses
are always present when students are in school, including their pre
and post school activities.
The school nurses and doctor are responsible for arranging routine
and emergency medical treatment and health promotion activities.
Parents are required to update their child's medical records annually
and throughout the year as circumstances change. The school will
send a medical form to the parents at the beginning of the summer
break and expect the parents to have it filled in by their pediatrician or
family doctor and upload the same on the link provided in the circular.
In case of any medical attention, the teacher will send the student with
a covering note to the school medical centre, where the student will be
given appropriate treatment. In case of an acute emergency, like an
accident or illness which may necessitate urgent medical treatment,
including surgery, the parents will be informed and if the parents
