The school recognises that birthdays are special occasions for
students and parents, and requests that birthday celebrations at
school are kept simple. Parents are requested not to send any fancy
invitation cards, cakes or take-home presents to students or teachers.
Chocolates, candies, lollipops, or toffees may be distributed.
On their birthdays, students may wear clothes of their choice provided
it meets the school and community's standards and expectations.
If invitation cards are distributed in school, all students of the class
must receive an invitation.
l) Non-Uniform Days
Certain days on the school calendar are designated 'non-uniform'
days. On some of these days, students are required to wear traditional
Indian dress. On other days, students may dress in clothing of their
own choice, provided it meets the school and community's standards
and expectations.
When participating in any social function or formal event at the school,
students are required to dress appropriately and follow the guidelines
set by the school.
m) House System
Students are allocated to one of the four houses - the Jaguars (Red
House), the Panthers (Blue House), the Tigers (Green House) and the
Lions (Yellow House) from Class 1 onwards. Students of Primary Classes
I to V are called Cubs. A house membership is an essential part of a
student's education, helping each child become a responsible and
proud member of a community, through participation in games and
other house activities and events. It gives children of different age
groups the opportunity to bond with each other. The house system
fosters competitive team spirit and nurtures a sense of belonging by
being part of a cohesive group.
