j) Learning Centre
The NMAJS Learning Centre provides resources, instruction, and
opportunities for collaboration to promote academic excellence and
lifelong learning. The Learning Centre’s spaces and services include
satellite libraries, located on most floors, with age-appropriate
materials. Satellite libraries are an integral part of our collaborative
learning spaces giving students opportunities to read for pleasure
and navigate information. Students receive support with both
research and reading through our extensive resources and expertise.
Our librarians work together to significantly impact student learning
by ensuring students become efficient, ethical users and producers of
ideas and information, proficient in technology use, and enthusiastic
readers. The collaboration between librarians and teachers fosters
inquiry and agency, stimulates creativity and critical thinking, and
encourages collaboration and communication.
High-quality diverse print and digital resources are easily accessible
through Destiny Discover Collections. These resources are carefully
curated, catering to different ages, needs, perspectives, personal
interests and diverse culture.
This collaborative partnership prepares them to be creative and
critical thinkers, effective communicators, collaborators, and lifelong
learners. Our collective goal is to inspire students to be responsible
global citizens who passionately contribute to the wellbeing of the
community and society.
k) Celebrations
Festivals bring to life the varied cultures of different segments of
society and are occasions for celebration and joy. In this spirit, the
school celebrates various festivals throughout the year.
